Privacy Policy

Because we are an extremely small company, we are frequently able to get to know our repeat customers quite well. We often remember details such as your favorite colors, what stones you can't stand, and what size bracelet you wear. (This is mostly due to Kythryne's freakishly inconsistent memory. She can't find her keys or remember what she had for breakfast, but she can often remember what necklace you ordered six months ago. We don't understand it either.) We pride ourselves on this highly personalized customer service, but we also greatly respect your privacy and we are committed to protecting your personal information.

We will never sell or otherwise distribute your personal information to anyone for any reason. All of our staff and employees have signed confidentiality agreements and are not at liberty to reveal customer information to anyone for any reason. Website payments are processed exclusively by PayPal; we never see your financial information. We collect order details along with personally identifying information (but excluding financial details) for internal use. The primary purpose of this is managing order processing and inventory. We will never share that information with third parties. We use cookies for our shopping cart, our blog, and our forum, but this information is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information. We use non-identifying computer generated information -- which includes your IP address, operating system, browser, and pages visited -- for statistical purposes only. Our mailing list is strictly opt-in, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Our forum and blog are open to the public, and any information - including identifying personal information -- that you choose to post there is considered to be publicly available, and as such, is not bound by this privacy agreement. However, we will not distribute this information to third parties or republish it elsewhere without your permission. We have no control over search engines or other people, though, so we suggest you refrain from posting anything you don't want your boss or your mother to read.

On occasion we are asked for advice or assistance by friends, spouses, or family members who wish to purchase a gift but are uncertain of what to buy. We never reveal specifics of your order history to these individuals, but we may steer them towards items or materials that we know you particularly like (or have expressed a wish to own) or advise them against purchasing a specific item if we know you already have something similar. If someone is ordering a gift and does not have your address, we will ship it directly to you without revealing it to the purchaser. If you would prefer that we not provide this assistance to others on your behalf, simply contact us and we will immediately begin honoring your request.

In other words: we do not spam, we don't sell customer information to anybody, we don't forward chain letters or virus warnings or get-rich-quick schemes (and we'd really appreciate it if you didn't send them to us, either), we couldn't steal your identity if we tried, we don't let our employees gossip about our customers, and we aren't going to tell your crazy ex-boyfriend/girlfriend/roommate/whatever where you live these days. Oh, and if your computer spontaneously bursts into flames while you're using our website? That's not our fault.
